The increasingly acknowledged post-secular perspective has resulted in the emergence of some new approaches theorizing this phenomenon. One such approach has been the concept of religious engagement, which calls for the redefinition of the perception of religious non-state actors towards including them as important partners in the process of identifying and realizing political goals. Tämä pro gradu -tutkielma on osa pitkittäistutkimusta, joka on seurannut 11 vastavalmistuneen vieraan kielen opettajan kehitystä noin kymmenen vuoden ajan. Seitsemän opettajaa jatkoi tutkimuksen parissa tänä vuonna ja uusimmat haastattelut toteutettiin keväällä 2014. Tämän tutkimuksen tarkoituksena oli selvittää millaisia oppilaisiin liittyviä tunteita kieltenopettajilla on ja ovatko kyseiset tunteet mahdollisesti muuttuneet vuosien saatossa. The aim of the article is to argue for the usefulness of public diplomacy and legitimacy of its application as a complementary tool for traditional diplomacy in the area of conflict resolution. Public diplomacy, due to its specificity, is part of changes in internationał relations and thus promotes approaches and offers tools that seem to be functional in various types and at different stages of internationał conflicts. Tämän kirjallisuuskatsauksen tarkoituksena on esitellä ja arvioida viimeaikaisia tutkimuksia, jotka koskevat opettajien oppilaisiin liittyviä tunteita.
